OX2 Web Analytics Blog

This week, the Web Analytics Association and OX2 just organised a Web Analytics Wednesday here in Brussels. It was the first time we had this event in the capital of Europe and it was a nice event IMHO. I wanted to thank again De Persgroep for hosting this event in their magnificent premises.

18 people showed up (I hope to increase this number for the next edition in a couple of months). As you know, the agenda included some presentations delivered by Michaël Notté, Julien Coquet and myself (I’ll publish another post with a copy of these later on. You can read the agenda here) and it was followed by a networking cocktail. The audience was mainly composed of practitioners, but we had also 1 consultant (beside us) and 2 vendors (WebTrends and ClickTracks).

Along with a copy of the presentations and a MVT White Paper, we handed out feed-back forms and all were mainly very positive, but I’m sure there’s still room for improvement, so we’ll try to do better next time. I was delighted to see that some attendees offered to make a presentation on a future edition (one of our clients for example offered to present his case, what strategic choices they made and what KPIs were identified) and we even had HP that proposed us their premises for a future WAW (thank you Justus for your kind proposal, I’ll be contacting you next month).

It was also interesting to read comments on the presentations and what the attendees were expecting of future events: more best practices, kpi definitions, detailed cases, integration of WA with other solutions, WA issues for agencies…
